Kolkata, Dec 24 (The Street Press India) – West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose, who oversees all state-run universities, removed Jadavpur University’s acting Vice Chancellor Buddhadeb Sau due to disciplinary reasons. The decision came the night before the university’s planned convocation on Sunday.
Additionally, Bose has formed an inquiry committee to investigate various complaints received against the interim VC, as mentioned by the official.
“The chancellor removed Jadavpur University interim VC Buddhadeb Sau from the chair for defying orders. An enquiry committee has also been set up to probe several complaints received by his office against Sau,” the official told PTI.
Professor Sau assumed the role of acting Vice Chancellor for Jadavpur University in August of this year.
