Burdwan, Jan 12 (The Street Press India) – In the academic year 2023-24, the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Burdwan, in collaboration with the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Skill Development, has initiated a 14-day short-term course on “Plant Tissue Culture.” Dr. Indrani Chandra, Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, is coordinating the course, which delves into both theory and practical applications of tissue culture.

The course aims to equip students with essential knowledge and skills related to the basic concepts and methods of plant tissue culture. Covering topics such as theory, applications, tools, equipment, methods, and quality control, the program provides hands-on experience through practical classes. Upon completion, students will be capable of cultivating various tissues and cells using diverse plant tissue culture techniques.
