Nov 14 (The Street Press India) – BJP leader Locket Chatterjee demanded a CBI investigation into the South 24 Pargana’s Jayanagar incident. Locket Chatterjee was present at the organizational district office of East Burdwan on Tuesday afternoon.
She said, “What has happened is atrocious. It is like Birbhum’s Bagtui incident, where children and women were all burnt to death. Everyone was from Trinamool, TMC killed TMC. The same happened here. Those who were affected or whose family members died will not get justice. Nothing for the criminals, there will be no punishment for the guilty. The affected family will not get any justice. So the real culprit will come out when the CBI investigates.”
She further said, “With the Tolabazi syndicate ruling, it has become such a situation that shootings are going on openly. Houses are being burnt and people get killed. What will the CID do where nothing has happened in other big cases like that? Opposition are being blocked today, there will be more. Later she (Mamata Banerjee) or his nephew will come and announce something”. She also claimed that Minority Politics has brought up this situation.
