Burdwan, Dec 15 (The Street Press India) – During the entry at Burdwan University, Trinamool Chhatra Parishad members, along with supporters, displayed black flags at Governor C.V. Anand Bose’s car. This incident, occurring on Friday, once again highlights the ongoing conflict between the state government and the governor. As a result of the incident, the university campus experienced increased unrest.
On Friday, ahead of the Governor’s visit, police presence was heightened at Burdwan University’s Golapbagh campus since the morning. To ensure a secure environment, police barricades were set up on all sides. As students gathered at the main gate with black flags and placards, Trinamool Chhatra Parishad expressed their discontent with slogans like “Governor, go away” upon the Governor’s arrival. The demand from the Trinamool Chhatra Parishad is the immediate appointment of a permanent vice-chancellor at the university.
