New Delhi, Mar 31 (The Street Press India) – Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), spoke out against the BJP on Sunday regarding the electoral bonds matter. He called the BJP the “Bhrasht Janata Party” and emphasized that the true nature of the party has been revealed to the public.

Additionally, the former Maharashtra chief minister took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ campaign, suggesting that Modi doesn’t grasp the essence of “parivar” (family), as it entails assuming responsibility for one’s family.

“When I was the chief minister during Covid, I made a resolve that ‘mera parivar, meri zimmedaari’ (my family, my responsibility). There is only you and the chair in your ‘parivar’,” stated Thackeray during a press conference.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, currently in Delhi for the INDIA bloc’s ‘Save Democracy’ rally, asserted that the BJP lacks substantial issues now, as its true colors have been revealed with the exposure of electoral bond details.

“It has emerged that the BJP is the most corrupt party. It is the ‘Bhrasht Janata Party’. Their real face has been exposed before the people,” he remarked. Thackeray also criticized the BJP for embracing leaders whom it had previously accused of serious wrongdoing.

“Who made allegations against Praful Patel? Who made allegations about Adarsh (scam)? Who made allegations against Janardhan Reddy and Naveen Jindal?” he questioned, directing his criticism towards the BJP.

Thackeray further asserted that the BJP under Atal Bihari Vajpayee operated with integrity and principles, but the current BJP aligns itself with individuals tainted by corruption, he alleged.

The “Loktantra Bachao” rally organized by the INDIA bloc at Ramlila ground on Sunday is viewed as a demonstration of strength and unity among the Opposition, especially following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal just ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. Despite this, the Congress has emphasized that the rally’s objective is to uphold the Constitution and democracy, rather than focusing on any individual.
