Rajganj, Nov 21 (The Street Press India) – In the Gandar More area of Rajganj, an unfortunate incident took place on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway. This incident resulted in the injury of a young man identified as Deba Roy. Deba Roy is a resident of the Lakshmi Jamadar Gachh area in Binnaguri Gram Panchayat.
As per local sources, on Monday night, the young man was crossing the road on a two-wheeler in the mentioned area. Unfortunately, it collided with a truck coming from Jalpaiguri. This led to the youth and the bike falling onto the road. Following the incident, the truck driver fled from the scene.
In the meantime, locals swiftly came to the aid of the injured youth and took him to a private hospital in Fulbari. Upon being informed, the police from the Ambari outpost reached the scene, recovered both vehicles, and brought them to the police station. Currently, the police are actively involved in conducting further investigations.
